Practice Profile
The Practice was established by Nigel Bicknell in 1971 and has evolved from a sole practitioner to a three Partner practice with over 20 members of staff.
As a local chartered accountancy practice we take pride in offering a complete business service to companies, partnerships, sole proprietorships and private individuals.
Our staff are well trained and together we have the expertise to ensure a hands-on, Partner led, pro-active and comprehensive service.
We are located in Farnham, a busy market town on the Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex border. Our office, Alresford House, is a grade two listed building of c1840 with ample parking and easy access to London, the South Coast and the West Country.

Nigel started the practice in 1971 after spending time training with practices in Midhurst and the City of London, where he specialised in taxation matters relating to high net worth individuals.
Nigel’s areas of expertise are General Accounting, Taxation, and Trust and Estate work. He is qualified with the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He is authorised as an Independant Financial Advisor by the Financial Services Authority, and he spends a great deal of time on Financial and Pension Planning and Inheritance Tax Planning to include Wills and Probate work.
Bedford S M Lloyd BSc FCA

Bedford is a Chartered Accountant and he joined the practice in 1987 after completing his training locally. He has always lived in and around Farnham and has considerable experience in accountancy and auditing work. He is also tax aware, with a strong emphasis on all types of owner-managed businesses. Bedford is particularly keen to increase the firm's portfolio of local clients.

Simon joined Bicknell Sanders in 1988 after gaining his experience at various practices in London and Horsham. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Simon has a strong mix of corporate and non-corporate experience and also runs a portfolio of audit clients. He acts for various professional sportsmen and women as well as a number of personal tax clients. Simon enjoys the challenge of being involved with new business from the outset and remaining in close contact with their management team as the business gains a foothold in the marketplace.

Lee is a Chartered Certified Accountant and joined the practice in 1978. His portfolio includes private individuals and partnerships and a number of large companies. He is also very experienced in dealing with H M Revenue & Customs investigations and back duty enquiries. Lee maintains close contact with his clients and uses his wide experience to assist his clients achieve their business goals.

'Colin joined the practice in 1978 and looks after the affairs of a variety of clients, including private individuals and all types of owner managed businesses. He is also responsible for the accounting and audit related work of companies and professional firms.
